Terms and conditions including returns policy

Please note – these Terms & Conditions do not supersede your statutory rights under the Sale of Goods acts: they are merely designed to clarify the principles and procedures by which we operate. In any event, we aim to serve our customers fairly and squarely and – should a dispute arise – we will always seek to find a quick and amicable solution to the problem.

You are currently able to purchase your product(s) in GBP, EUROS, HKD, SGD,  USD, and SWISS FR,   This will automatically adjust to your requested currency via the converter. The payment will show on your statement with the exchange rate at time of purchase.  We only accept payment via credit or debit card on this site.

Tariffs, Taxes & VAT
Prices on the Jardine of London website are quoted inclusive of UK taxes (VAT).   We cannot be held responsible for taxes or customs charges outside the UK .

Dispatch Timescales
We will always try to dispatch your goods within 48 hours of receipt of order, assuming we have the item/s in stock. If we do not have the item/s in stock, we will quickly advise you of this and either offer you an alternative product or let you know when or if this product will be available again.  If you would like to enquire about stock levels before placing your order, please feel free to call us or email us – details are on our Contact Us page.

Shipping Methods
Orders are sent to you via a secure designated carrier and will require a signature on delivery. Orders sent within the UK should arrive 1-3 days after dispatch, except for outlying areas, and orders sent overseas will usually arrive within a week of dispatch. Please allow more time for delivery at busy periods like Christmas.   For orders outside the UK we cannot be held responsible for customs officials who have opened packages and as a result the goods arrive damaged.  If this happens please contact us immediately and we will endeavour to recover the costs through our carrier’s insurance, but this could take some considerable time.  We will try our best to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.

Carriage Costs
The delivery charges quoted on the website cover delivery via a secure designated carrier. Please contact us if you require special delivery services, so that we can give you a quote for your requirements.

Payments for orders placed through our website are by Credit or Debit Card Transaction via our Secure Server, where your card details are encrypted before being sent to us, fully protecting any confidential information from prying eyes.

Invoices & Receipts
We send a receipt for all orders, either with the goods or to follow in the post, except those sent to third parties as Gifts. In these cases we send a separate receipt direct to the purchaser.

Returns Policy
For UK deliveries ONLY – Please see our ‘Try & Buy’ offer on our front page.  This gives you an opportunity to return the item(s) in an un-used/saleable condition and be re-imbursed for delivery and collection once we have received the package safely at our registered office address of Jardine of London, Bridge Farm House, Rushbrooke, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.  IP30 0BP, UK.    To receive your refund of the delivery and collection costs – we need to receive the returned package within 14 days of the delivery date to you.

For returns that are received after 14 days and before 28 days of the delivery date to you – we will give you a full refund of the cost of the actual product(s) as long as the item(s) is in a saleable/un-used condition.  We will not be able to refund the delivery or return postage costs.

For deliveries outside the UK – we offer a no-quibble 28 day Returns Policy as long as the item(s) has/have been returned in a saleable/unused condition.  We will not be able to refund the delivery or return postage costs.  Please note that the cost of the shipping cannot be refunded unless we deem the goods to have been faulty before they were dispatched to you.

Please note we will NOT be able to offer any refunds for items returned AFTER 28 days of receiving your goods.

Goods Damaged in Transit
Unfortunately, we are not responsible for damage which occurs after the goods have been handed to the postal or courier service. However, should you be unfortunate enough to receive damaged goods, let us know immediately. Please retain all relevant documentation so that we can make an insurance claim against the carrier’s insurers. If the parcel you receive is battered, please note the fact when you sign for it, even before you open the package to examine the contents. If you are unable to open the damaged package in the presence of the carrier, make sure that you sign for it as “Damaged package; goods not yet inspected” to warn the carrier that a claim may follow.

Title to the Goods
Title for goods belongs to JARDINE OF LONDON until your full payment is cleared, at which point it transfers to you in its entirety.

Unavailable Goods
In the event that we cannot ship your whole order within 72 hours of receipt, we will usually dispatch a part order and notify you with regard to items delayed through lack of stock. In the unlikely event that we are unable to supply your choice of goods for some while, or at all, we will contact you for instructions. Providing a telephone number or e-mail address with your order makes it easier for us to contact you in this event.

Applicable Law and Courts of Jurisdiction
All transactions undertaken through this website are governed by English Law and any legal actions arising out of such transactions shall be subject to the English legal processes and under the jurisdiction of English Courts. In the event of disagreement between JARDINE OF LONDON LTD and its clients, which cannot be mutually resolved in a reasonable time period, customers are invited to participate in a mediation process to settle the dispute. However, this is not compulsory and does not affect the consumer’s rights to bring legal proceedings against JARDINE OF LONDON LTD. If the mediation process is agreed, then either party may ask the Institute of Directors (UK) to appoint a mediator to settle any dispute before bringing the matter into the legal process. In this event, both parties agree to be bound by the decisions of such mediator and mediation process.
